My 7 month border collie is house trained in the room that she stays in the most, but whenever I take her in other rooms, she doesn't even try to hold it. She waits until I am not looking and then goes on the floor. I even take her out before bringing her into my room. Why is she doing that?

I do keep her on a leash near me, she knows I don't want her to do this because she only does it as soon as I leave or am distracted. She doesn't do this anymore in the main room so I know she gets the idea. I can leave her there alone and she holds it.

Because she does not know that other areas of the house is not for peeing in, once she successfully uses a room without getting caught in the act she thinks it is an acceptable place to potty.

Put a leash on her and attach it to yourself so she cannot got off unnoticed to pee, if she does attempt to pee you will be able to catch her right away in the act and correct her verbally and immediately take her outside, when she does do her job outside , give her praise , let her know you are happy so she connects that going outside makes you happy, any places she has peed inside must be thoroughly cleaned so she cannot not smell where she went otherwise she will reattempt to go in those areas so sop up and clean then use vinegar or a pet enzyme cleaner afterward to remove all traces of smell
