I had my tongue pierced last Friday, it's Tuesday now, and I was wondering if it's ok for me to drink Coke Zero before it heals completley?? It's still slightly swollen but there is no pain anymore. I am a full on caffiene addict and I need a fix!!!! My piercer didn't mention anything about fizzy drinks or soda!! Any helpful answers apprieciated, cheers!!

yes you can is the short answer, but i would rinse afterwards, but that goes for anything you eat/drink at the stage in the healing process, heavily spiced foods should be avoided at this stage but apart from that take it slowly and you will be fine, when i had mine done i found my eating regime ressumed to almost normal within a week-i did avoid spicy stuff for 2 weeks from piercing and had no problems at all, take it easy until you go get your bar changed, your piercer will tell you how its going and what to do from there on in, once the swelling goes down your healing is well on its way, good luck 2 u

you probably shouldn't drink soda or any other kind of carbonated drink until its fully healed, but if you are going to, i recommend drinking it with a straw so that the soda doesn't touch your new piercing. it might be painful... i dunno... i didnt drink soda for a really long time after i got my tongue pierced.

you could try drinking it with a straw so it doesnt have too much contact with your tongue.

You should be fine, I would suggest rinsing your mouth afterward for sure.
