I'm not so sure, MM. The F-104 was, for me, just about the sexiest little critter I ever laid eyes on. The 51D was a honey, though, you're very right about that.

P-51, oh so pretty; and you just gotta love the sound of one of these guys flying stunts at an airshow.

As for sexiest ever...? Well, I'm quite partial to my old Falcons, but I've got a wandering eye toward a Gulfstream V. Then again the F-14 beats them both on pure looks; especially the older ones before they went all grey paint. In the X-planes category, we must bow to the X-29. Best foreign fighter: Su-35. And to give a nod to the people movers, 757 has nice lines.

NO you guys are all hosed. THE most sexiest aircraft of all time is now and ever be the Convair B58 Hustler. Too bad none are flying any more, but like a beautiful woman they were very high maintenance. Check the link:

I certainly think that the P-51 is one of the sexiest airplanes out there that was ever built. But only the D models with the bubble canopy.

Mer-Mor. The p51 was quite a mundane aircraft originally!
But it became one of the finest fighter aircraft ever built
when they put the Spitfire Merlin engine in to it!
Hope this answers for you.

I'd rather have a Cessna Citation, and travel in style. But it is a bit out of my price range, so I have to make do with a Skyhawk.
