educating is to give intellectual, moral, and social instruction to someone. training is the action of teaching a person or animal a particular skill or type of behavior. indoctrinating is to teach (a person or group) to accept a set of beliefs uncritically.

The simple answer is that they can be the same. However, educating seems to relate more to academics: math, science, language. Education gives you knowledge. training involves the repetition of a certain task over and over until you become a master of it. The task is usually difficult; hence, there is a need to do it over and over until you get used to it and gain mastery over it. Indoctrinating involves beliefs and principles. Among the three, indoctrinating can be the most difficult to do. Especially if the belief is one that is hard to accept. Indoctrinating is usually done by parents, by teachers of religion over a long period of time.

In education, you learn something right away, you gain knowledge. In training, you gain the ability to do something; usually by repetition. In indoctrination, there is the gradual embracing of philosophies, usually done by making justifications-making someone believe that something is right.
