Ali means "lofty or sublime" in Arabic.
The meanings for Kaj which I've been able to find don't quite fit, as they are Scandinavian. The name Kaj is another form of "Gaius" or "Gerhard". The two origins don't blend together very well, so Kaj probably has another Arabic meaning.
