dont say im busy today or someting because there is still a chance that u will go out with them... just be honest. i had to say no to my boyfriend before we started going out coz of my parents..
so i said.. sorry.. i cant, my parents will kill me. haha and he said.. not with me around the wont. which didnt prove successful for me =P but i guess just be honest.. or tell them that ur intentions of going out with them wont happy any strings attatched that nothing will come out of what u have.. i guess it depends on how comfortable you are with the person. if they're random just say no the way u asked in your question.. if its someone u know.. im sure u can be a little more open. =)

U can be blunt when u don't need the date. It is necessary to be delicate and elaborate, if u need the date.
