That depends on your definition of success. Not all success is measured by worldly standards.

There are plenty of idiot savant types out there who can't relate to people but are successful in their own fields. Temple Grandin is a good example.

Its alright to use your ego to reach out into the world, as long as YOU are in control. But if you let your ego have all control it will sell its soul (you) to have worldly success. Can you not see the difference?
