The Rosary. This is one of the most precious and intimate prayers we have.

God bless you and take care.

The people who are critical of structured prayer assume that we say these prayers without any feeling of our own. They think that we just say the prayer mechanically and without any feeling. That is very insulting and unchristian in their attitude.

Second, they totally ignore the beauty and feeling that others have for God. They igore the inspiration that God has given to others in their prayer life. It is almost self centered and selfish in thinking that the words of another person are not appropriate for them.

I think the greatest prayer for coouples or a family to pray together, aside from the Sunday liturgy of Mass, is the grace before meals. Bless us, O lLord, and these, your gifts which we are about to receive from your bounty, through Christ, our Lord.

Praying this prayer together means that you are together. Make it a practice to share meals together. It will do more to make a strong family than anything else you can do. Recognize that the gifts you are about to receive are not just the food and drink, but each other and each other's time and love.

You will have to get out your catholic handbook and look them up. Let me ask you this: If your child came home from school everyday and you asked him how his day was and he took out a paper and read you the same thing everyday about how his day was, how would that make you feel? Now tell me, how do you think God feels with these written down prayers that people can rattle off in a hurry and even think of something else as they do it? God wants to hear from you in your own words and have a personal relationship with you through Jesus Christ, not some repetitious prayer. By the way, prayers to Mary and other dead saints are considered idol worship. These people are dead and have their own sins, and cannot help you. Also praying to the dead is also a form of necromancy. No offense to you, but I thought you might like to hear the truth about some of the catholic beliefs. I renounced the catholic religion because of it's false teachings. Be careful! Here is a website that will tell you more about the catholic religion and other false religions. God Bless and I hope you will take this seriously and find salvation through Jesus Christ.

The Rosary is a beautiful prayer for a couple to say together...especially when you use only one set of beads!

None. Prayer is totally ineffectual in producing results. Their only value is in the mind of the prayee. It is all imaginary. It is all in the mind.
Give up delusion and accept reality. It's not too late.

is that how you talk to your family? I would be sad if my children only spoke to me from what they read and never had a personal relationship with them. How about just getting real with God, tell him what's on your heart, read his word and listen to his voice.
