It sounds like you have the POWER switch set on AUTO,
and it will shut off when it does not detect a signal to it for
awhile, but it should come back on once it detects a sig-
nal. Switch the power switch to ON and it should stay on.

Some subs, after a specific period of non-use, it will go into a standby mode and will in effect shut down until a signal is detected. It will then automaticly power up.

Maybe this is what your sub is doing?

the amp might be hot if thers a knob on the back turn it down a hair.or u need a new one cuz jvc not a really good bass speaker.wires could be crossed

it is over heating and the circut is blowing

you should turn it down some or put a fan on it to get it cool
