How would Lamotta have done against the OTHER Sugar?

Good matchup! I believe this would have been a pretty close fight. LaMotta is known for his ability to absorb punches and to keep pressing forward. Very tough fighter and one of the toughest of all time. He wan't a hard puncher but would land a high volume of punches. However Leonard is the better boxer and would have a big advantage in speed. I believe that LaMotta would give Sugar Ray Leonard problems early on with his steady pressure and by staying on top of him. Leonard would come out with flurries which LaMotta would shrug off and respond with body punches. Leonard would wisely get off the ropes and take this to the center of the ring and use his stinging jab against "The Bronx Bull". At the end of a very tough fight for both men I see Leonard winning a close but unanimous decision.

This is an interesting match-up. Sugar Ray and LaMotta are both great fighters. Sugar ray will have the edge in speed, defense, and chin. LaMotta will have an edge in power and experience. I see this fight going the distance.
In the earlier rounds, Sugar Ray will control it. I see him staying away from the more powerful LaMotta. He will outbox Jake. LaMotta, on the other hand, will try and engage Leonard whenever he can. I see the middle rounds going to Leonard, too. LaMotta will have one final surge in the championship rounds, which won't be enough, though. I think it will be Sugar Ray Leonard via a wide unanimous decision.

Sugar Ray Leonard in the first one because he is too quick for LaMotta. I give LaMotta a better chance against Sugar Ray Robinson due to the fighting skills or the mechanics of boxing showed some similiarities.

Ray Leonard would use his great boxing ability jabbing LaMotta through out. Leonard had a good chin and LaMotta had little power. Ray had some decent power and he would win this fight. LaMotta doesn't rank up there with Hearns or Duran. Leonard by decision. He would be afraid the whole time too. Just kidding. Great champion.

LAMOTTA WAS GOOD. LEONARD WAS GREAT. IN THIS BOUT I PICK LEONARD IN AN EASY 15 RD UNANIMOUS DECISION. NOW IF LAMOTTA CAN "PSYCHE" LEONARD OUT LIKE DURAN DID, LAMOTTA HAS A CHANCE.

I think it would have been similiar to the Leonard/Duran fights. It would probably have been worth watching.
