Usually I'm just glad someone else has religious beliefs. That gives some common background right there. And usually others also see God as a good being who loves us and wants the best for us. Again, more common background. Though on many of the finer points of religion there is a disagreement, I think that knowing that we are all children of God, and that most of us honestly desire to do what is right, is something which brings great kinship to others even who do not share my religious beliefs.

I agree with two of the Ten Commandments regarding stealing and murder. But those don't have to be religious beliefs in order to be moral and just.I also believe in charity as Jesus was said to have advocated. But charity does not have to be a religious tenet either in order to be moral and just.

Those commercials for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints...the Mormans talk a good game, but I'm a Baptist and we believe having another book besides the Bible makes you a cult.

Evangelics do not "praise" or display any statues or have images of Jesus and other religious figures that from what I've heard shouldn't be.
