The major religions, those of Adam, Moses, Krishna, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, The Bab and Baha'u'llah did provide the Truth. The clergy came into existence as quickly as possible in each case and twisted the truth so that it could be used to manipulate the populace of the respective areas. People have a choice of whether to love God and obey the law or to do what the clergy did and does. If you want the truth go to the Source.

If all religions found the basic truth of life unemployment would rise as all the priests would be unemployed.

But people would have more time to help others rather than standing in a church praying do non existant gods to help them. They might just start to help themselves and others. If this happened then yes the world might improve.
There would be no more religous wars, Al'Queda would split up. The money the Vatican holds may actually be used to do something usefull.
Who knows but it can only be for the best.
