Ok, had my question been, "how do you meet a handfull of homophobic, never-left-the-state-I-was-born-in rednecks?", obviously I now know the answer would've been, "Ask a question on Yahoo". Now, if there's anyone out there who could give me an answer beyond a fifth grade leve, that'd be ****** awesome. Thanks.

I would think its the same as anywhere so here we go. Mostly you would go to city hall and fill out paperwork and get enough signitures of people willing to say your ok to run then turn it in by the due date, im not sure of what your due date is or if that is how a large city is run, but the small city where Im from works that way... Good Luck running!! San Francisco is a wonderful town no matter what people say... Married and have a family and we like to visit from the mid-west.

It's just that your question can be found by searching the net in about 4 minutes.
Running for mayor is just like running for any city office... just register as a candidate at city hall...
