Each state has different laws on driving and penalties for violations of their laws, so no one can give you a definite answer. Also, there are different county courts and different judges in each traffic court, so there are wide variations of penalties.

Also, you did not say WHY your driving privilege was suspended or revoked. It matters if it was a conviction for drunken driving, or reckless driving, or negligent or incompetent driving of a vehicle, as this is a more serious type of suspension, and has higher penalties for violation.

But if it is not for any of those things, (for example, if it was suspended because you forgot to renew it) in my state, (California), first offense may be a fine not less than $300 nor more than $1,000, or a fine and possibly some jail time (not likely with first offense); second offense is not less than 5 days in jail, nor more than 1 year, and fine of not less than $500 nor more than $2,000. These may be reduced and a portion of the fine might be reduced in some localities and courts, but other courts may have an additional assessment for court costs, etc.

So, you have to trust your public defender to get the best plea bargain he can negotiate with the prosecutor and the court. If the amount of the fine is a problem, you can arrange payment in installments with some courts.

Consider yourself lucky you are not in Australia.
Listen to your public defender.Be very well dressed in the court
be very, very polite.Follow to the letter what your public defender says. What ever you do if you are driving between now and then
please be an angel on the road.If you have had your license suspended once before you could be in trouble but if you have representation that is a good start.I wish you well.

Depends on your state. Some take your offenses pretty seriously. Others will just impose a stiff fine.

Go with the advice of your Public Defender.

My fiance had court a while ago and it was his like 2nd or third within a one year period. He was still on probation for one and I was really scared but suprisingly enough he just got a fine and a longer probation. It does depend on what state you are in and the reason for the suspension, good luck!

depends on the laws of the state you're in. I know in ny twice is no big deal just a fine and maybe a conditional license (for work/school etc).

seeing as you did get your licence, they probably wont take it away again, that was the problem in the first place, for you I see FINES! that is what they most want to get out of people. Maybe some comunity service. maybe a few days in jail. but they most likely will not suspend your licence again. they want to make sure you can get to work, so you can pay them your FINES!

Could be a fine, revoke license, depends on the Judge.

you should be scared. you can go to jail for at least a year. Hopefully the judge does throw your stupid @ss in jail. Obviously you didn't learn the first time. Maybe jail would help you pull your head out of your @ss.

Admit the offenses and use it as a mitigating cirscumstance. Cite as many defenses or excuses in order that your penalty will be lowered.

It's good that you've realized it was a mistake. One thing I wouldn't count on getting is sympathy. I think you just ought to trust your pd and leave it in his hands.
