This person is grouchy all the time and talks loud until your head hurts. Snappy and do not want to be told nothing and wants things her way. Eats constant all day long, cusses a lots and seems to hate men and wants to follow her sister every where she goes. My boyfriend comes over to visit and she wants to sleep in my bed, no respect. By the way we are sisters. Anyone had this happen to them before? Help me with some ideas to conquer this situation.

I'm a little curious as to why you chose this section - you'll probably get some pretty nasty answers.

It sounds like she has no boundaries what-so-ever. She demands to sleep in your bed, follow you and interfer in your life. She puts down other people because she is terribly insecure. That's the only way she can feel good.

Eating and cussing are two ways to control life. They are both within your control - you can chose when and were. A lot of people do this when they feel absolutely out of control. They desperately want to control something - so eating and breaking rules by cussing out other people is a way to regain this control.

As long as she continues to have no respect for herself, let alone others, there is only so much you can do.

You have to be able to stand up for yourself. Put your foot down and don't give in. Say no. Tell her to get lost. Don't be intimidated by her. Don't give in to her. But don't resort to being nasty, hatefilled or angry. This only leads you into being like her. Instead - just say no. No emotion, no pleading, no bargining. Show that there is compromise.

You first and foremost have to take care of youself.

It sounds like there is something pretty bad happening in this person's life. Something that is underlying all of this behavior. I don't know the ages on this. If she is still a minor, seek help. If your parents won't help you straightened this out, or just brush it off, seek outside help. A teacher, a counselor, a priest. Someone you trust.

If you are religious - pray for her daily.
