Yes. Amazingly. I tried to warm up raw potatoes, (don't ask me why i did that, i'm just weird) i put them on 600 degrees celsius and those things actually cooked. And i always thought u could only warm stuff up in a microwave.

Yes, If you are going to make baked potatoes, just wash them up really good, then put them in for several minutes, depending on the size of the potatoe, make sure you puncture the potatoe! To boil them put them in a microwave safe container and peel and cut up as always and then put them in water in your microwave safe container and cook until done. Keep checking them because it all depends on how many you have in there.

Yes, for sure! I only discovered it the other day and used the technique tonight. I just got a microwave safe container, put in my potatoes and a bit of butter and herbs to taste (which you dont have to do) put on the lid, (but not completely so the steam doesnt build up) and then put them in the microwave for 5min. Your microwave may vary with the time but i think most are around 5min. You will know they are ready if you prick them. If the scewer goes in easily then they are ready to eat. Hope that helped :)

Oh please! What an insult to the potato. I suggest baking it and then removing the potato and mixing in Gruyere cheese, butter, tarragon and chives. Make a nice gravy if you like and top it, along with cheese curds, as an alternative. Rewrap in foil and bake on a cookie sheet for another fifteen minutes. Goes well with a nice roasted rainbow trout with butter, lemon and dill or else, cilantro, olive and rice-stuffed salmon dotted with butter, oregano and lemon, with a touch of white wine. Don't forget some tasty cheese buns, a spinach or romaine salad and some boiled asparagus tips.

For wine, I suggest a nice Ernesto and Julio Gallo 'California' White Zinfandel, a sparkling Italian spumante or perhaps a chilled French rose.

Sure ya can just stab them with a fork and they cook in 6-10 minutes depending on the size and let them sit for about 1-2 minutes and they will soften up.

I love red potatoes sliced with Lawry's seasoning salt, parsley & a little butter. You just cover them in a safe bowl and nuke for like 7-14 minutes until tender. Stir every few minutes or so.---yummy. Easiest way to make potatoes.
