I've been having the hardest time being able to do my homework lately, or projects, or just about anything.
I try really hard to, and then end up unmotivated.
What are your favorite methods of studying?

I have a lot of AP tests in May and I don't know how I will ever be able to make myself strap down and review diligently so I can pass them with ease.
Has anyone else had this same situation?

How did you over come it?

any sort of depression can be tide over by faith in GOD and sincere prayer.

Your prayer is from your heart. Further You must have to understood the fact that God is present in our heart. This can be realised in meditation. Further we are the creation of our own destiny. As per Hindu sacred religion, we carry all good and bad deeds life after life. There is no end unless we pray for unification of self with the divineliness.
Hence there is always a possible way to complete mergence with God in this life by a simple and wonderful meditation

I am having the same problem now.
A good way to get motivated is to get together with friends or classmates to study, so at least it won't be just your own motivation but the motivation of the group as a whole that will help steer you forward.
Taking things one at a time can also help. If you think too much about all those APs you have to study for, the task as a whole can get pretty daunting. Try not to depress yourself with such thoughts! Just go forward a page, a chapter, a concept at a time and you just might make it!
Also, don't be so hard on yourself. If you really cannot concentrate, try taking a little break to get yourself energized again. Go for a snack with friends. Play a few rounds of your favorite video or online game. Read a chapter of your favorite book. Just be careful that the break doesn't explode into an all-out procrastination session!

That's all I really have to say. Good luck with your studies and getting that motivation up! Just a year or two left (I'm assuming) until college! Stay strong!

Yes I've had that problem and still do. It's called boardum. Sorry not much you can do about that. Have you tried meditation before you study ? That may help. All you do is sit in a chair with both feet on the floor and just empty you're mind. There's also self hypnoses. A more relaxed state. You do the same as above only this time you start with you're feet and each body part there after saying to each part: Relax,Let go, Sleep. Work you're way up to you're head. When you get there with you're eyes closed look towards the celling Not moving you're head just you're eyes. You will feel you're eyelids flutter. Then count down from 100 all the time telling you're mind to learn what you study. You can train you're mind to do just about anything by doing this. Such as eating less, quit smoking,etc....It works for me..The whole process takes about 30 Minn. When you reach zero just try to estimate 5-10 Minn then count to 5 telling you're self to wake more with each number. You will be amazed at how relaxed and awake you will feel when done..But be careful you may fall asleep. So until you train you're self try setting a timer for approx 45Minn to help remind you when to wake.

It depends on your personality. In my case, I tend to be more expressive to where I get bored easily so I had to make it a game somehow. I put flashcards on key rings for each subject and test. The other thing that really helped was getting togther with someone who is a total expert in the subject and is really excited about it and how it works. That was always a huge motivating factor. It's hard to find someone who is an expert on something and an expert on teaching that to someone else - study groups - I survived because of study groups - they kept it fun and thought up new ideas and you can all put great notes and outlines to share that are helpful. Study groups are great because they hold you accountable to show up and study - at least they are supposed to as long as you don't all end up joking around - which does happen occasionally!

I like to learn and read but hate studying. So what I did was when I had a test coming up, I studied as quickly as possible and was totally focused while I did it. It worked because I knew after I was done, I was on to more interesting things. Same thing with homework assignments I didn't care for; I did them as fast as possible. I have to say that I always had the goal of getting an "A" so I made sure I understood the material. Anyway, it worked for me!

Lots of people have these issues. depending on the severity of your anxiety. It could be stress related and in which case some exersise and maybe some meditation might help. If it is more severe than you should consider seeing a dr and asking about medication and even some talk therapy. However don't ever feel like you are alone with this.

On the subjects i just couldn't seem to focus on, i would make flash cards. Not just definitions but...well, for example in biology i had to learn the Kreb cycle. So i broke it down and put a reaction on one side of the card and what the enzyme catalyst was and if any ATP was made/used on the other side. Then i would go thro them and the ones i knew i'd put off to the one side, the ones i kinda knew went into another pile, and the ones i totally forgot into another. I would continue going thru the ones i kinda knew and didnt know until i knew them all then re-went thru them one last time. You'll be amazed how long you can remember junk you don't really like by doing this.
