Does witchcraft work?

Just basic witchcraft.. Does it work or not?

Sure. It depends on how much energy you put into it. If you just dabble in it from time to time and think it's all fun & games, it probably won't work. Ususally if it does work, the desired results aren't exactly what you want because you're manipulating a situation that probably isn't suppose to turn out the way you want it. It can work but it can also blow up in your face.

Before performing any spell work it is best to follow the rules of The Wiccan Rede. And yes basic Wiccan rituals (in your case Witchcraft) does work.

Basic altar goods are needed for basic wiccan practices:
1.) Four candles representing the North, South, East, and West. More candles on your altar can be of significance to you, but not too many. It can start a bonfire.
2.) Incense: Dragon's Blood or Patcholi is best. Ng Champa is a white magic incense used for cleansing or clearing. Smudge stick is optional.
3.) Two statues representing the god and goddess. Using a statue of the Cross and the Virgin Mary is fine.
4.) An athame and wand is also used in the process.
5.) Be sure you have salt when casting your circle.

When doing you craft, please be sure to follow the rules of the Wiccan Rede and do not use your power to harm anyone, not even an animal.

Sure it does, but nothing flashy like you would see in Harry Potter, Charmed, Sabrina, etc. We do not do parlor tricks. And I am willing to bet that the only "witches" that Nick Kh has ever known were disillusioned Fluffy Bunnies who had things go wrong, or someone who did not bother to go about things in the proper manner and not true witches. And he is just one of the multitudes of ignorant, uninformed, close minded Christians who think they know all about it.
I use herbs to treat ailments all the time and gems & crystals for the energy they project. Modern medicine has its basis in pagan practices, often refered to as witches (tho they were probably just herbalists).
I have no idea what you mean by basic witchcraft, you either practice or you don't. I have been practicing, quite sucessfully, for over 40 years. There are no spells that get you started. Some do not practice any magick, they just revere nature in all her forms, so asking in the religious sense it is like saying "Does Christanity work". You need to clarify in what way. Praying is praying whether you call it praying or casting spells. Do they work? You tell me.
I am a witch, not Wiccan, and do not recognize (let alone worship) the Christian creation called Satan.

Yes. It can.

And yes - it can work for those who choose to play with it - or think it's a game.

There is no such thing as basic witchcraft, I hate to say. We seem to think of everything in levels. Witchcraft just doens't work that way. Witchcraft is complete unto itself - there is no basic and advanced - just the way the witch uses the knowledge given.

Yes, although it's called Wicca, Anyone who casts spells who isn't Wiccan is called a spell caster, and is no more or less effective. It really depends on the person.

witch craft is more than what people might think. There are word curses, which means if you speak something against another person that is witch craft. If you black mail someone that is witch craft. if you are conniving that is witch craft. see more than just a doll and a potion.

To some people that question would be akin to "Does Christianity work?" I don't think there's a definitive answer.

it works through demonic forces. There is a high price for that, your soul. Satan will do little silly things to overwhelm your mind with magic, but will eventually take much more from you in return. It's been proven! There are tons of people who tried magic and they say they are sick and tired of having demons come at night trying to choke them to death or whatever.. .It's not a good thing, I suggest you stay away from it! I've never seen a happy witch craft person, they're all weird and lost. They hate people and they are tortured from within...Witch crafting can bring a lot of curse and demonic attention that you dont' need in your life! Demons break lives, families, financies, anything they can put their dirty palms on, they destroy!
