i notice that even if i hairspray them until they're stiff, they still manage to separate and look greasy and flat to my forehead. how do you get them to stay off your forehead, but together?

just a little pomade should do the trick!

I use a palmade, it's a kind of waxy substance (watch out, a little goes a very long way!) that I prefer over hairspray and other products because it doesn't make the hair stiff. It just holds it in place and helps it stay together.

I use a bit of straightening gel while my hair is wet. I put it all through my hair, but I only use about a quarter size amount for my whole head of hair. I brush my hair in the "shape" that I want it to act all day. I let that dry just a bit while I am getting dressed/doing makeup. Then, I blowdry my hair, and I sort of aim the dryer pointing down at my head, making the air blow in the direction I want my hair to go.
It took a week or so, but it was pretty easy to "train" my bangs to go to the side they I wanted them to.

you gotta use less product. use a little product when your hair is damp, tuck it behind your ear to give it shape as it dries. it will sweep over to the side more naturally this way. if your style looks like it needs a salon to be accomplished, or is "stiff" from hairspray, you need to detox it a bit.

Maybe try to put some little hair clips in it but........clip your bangs back but...together so....there not apart and still on your forehead.

I think you just have to "train" them. seriously. when your hair is wet clip them all to the side with a bobby pin, maybe at night when you're not going anywhere. then they should stay better. I had to do this. my hair stylist told me. i was like how the heck can you "train" hair. but it helped
