being together for a long time is not the surefire way to say that you're made for each other. you can try evaluating why you're together again in the first place. if you said that "snide comments and other things" are included in your relationship and they hurt you, you should reconsider why you're with him today. remember, although they say that love is difficult, it should not be hurtful.
you're probably a great girl, even though i don't really know you that well. asking questions like this means that you care enough to make the relationship work. but keep in mind that you do not have to stick to a relationship that hurts you and makes you feel stressed. although keeping a relationship is difficult, there's always compromising. you do not have to suffer snide comments along with you compromising with him just to get the relationship going.
try to take time off from him and evaluate yourself if you still want him.

Believe me, it s not easy as you think to be without some one you love. and remember, it always requires two to start up a fight. So, what you can do is withdraw when he starts a fight or pass any snide comments. and just dont talk to him for couple of days, and try to move on with your life. Then he will surely come behind you. at that instance, sit with him and do some serious talk. Get a commitment that he will not pass any harsh comments on you.
This way you should be able to have a successful relationship.
All the very best!!!!

If you can't get along I wouldn't stay in the relationship! I know its hard cause im sure that you 2 are very comfortable with eachother and that could be the reason why your still with eachother. Just talk with him about it and let him know u dont like to fight about everything and you wish you can work stuff out. and if the fighting keeps happening i'd move on - Cut your losses and keep him as a friend. You dont need this much stress in your life babes!

why are you still with him?! the answer to your question is clear and i think you know that too.
just because you have been through a lot with someone doesnt mean you have to stick around and take more nonsense. you have to do whats best for you hon; and sticking around waiting on this guy whos stressing you out (for whatever reason) isnt a good plan.
just take what you learned from the relationship (whatever and everything you went through) and learn from it..dont stay there in a 'rut'.
enjoy life hon! you'll be fine.

run!!! from him!!! the place's the honour?? If he treats your mothers and dads without know then how will he handle you? If he retains up this disrespect in direction of you and your loved ones you will possibly be able to might desire to get the police in touch and get a restraining order against him. His thoughts are the top of the iceberg. He sounds like he has some genuine anger themes to handle. What do you do while he starts beating up on you for some gentle he feels you probably did in direction of him?

Why are you wasting your time with someone you can't get along with? Things are not likely to get better the longer you are together, especially if he is disrespectful and insulting. Why would you tolerate that? Time to move on.

The solution is simple..... do not date him. If he does not treat you right, then he is not the one for you , and visa versa. Relationships will not and cannot prosper without respect for one another and ones self.
