Well based on this and some other questions by you regarding your home, it is obvious that your home is a very very personal part of you. In that it is so personal, then the answer is there is no one good time. For some ( and you are one) to invite one over is to open up a personal and somewhat vulnerable part of themselves to a guy. Here is my suggestion and I have a feeling you are sort of doing this already whether it be consciously or unconsciously. Let the time that it takes to reach your comfort zone for inviting him over be a clue to you as to how you really feel about a guy.See what I am saying? In other words if you are seeing a guy and it takes forever for you to invite him over well maybe you should examine if this guy is really for you. On the other hand if you invite him over earlier than you usually do with other men then it may well be a sign that this guy is sensitive to your feeling thus you are comfortable in opening up a very personal part of your life to him which is your home. So I would use the timing of inviting him over as somewhat of a benchmark as to how he rates with you as a man...Good Luck!

I think that there is no right answer, meaning some guys after 6 months you still might not feel comfortable and some might pass the character test after 4 weeks, as a guy I don't think it's that much of an issue alone but if I felt that I wasn't being invited over because you didn't trust me, that might bother depending on how into you I was. the more I liked you the more it would bother me, hope I helped

Wow, can we meet, no, seriously...You should push your comfort level a little bit. You aren't the only one that is experiencing some anxiety. You should shorten the duration for testing by at least half. It is like a company taking your credit card over the phone before you purchase the product, or having a restoct fee. There is a risk that they have to take to come to your home. Most guys, hope they can meet or exceed your expectations, and God bless you women, you usually do a good job lying to us. What I am trying to get at is this. You are draging the dates out for the soul purpose of figuring the guy out, but in that entire run of analyzing them you don't give them a chance to figure you out. What are they doing, filling out applications? Of course not. This was a walk in interview and you have already given the guy the job. So, what's up with the irrational probation period.
I praise you for being sensible, but you really need to be adventurous. Here's to life.

Coming over to ur place shouldnt be such a big deal to a guy. As long as he is free to express his feelings for u it shouldnt matter where he is. I think 6 weeks isnt too long. Stick with ur instincts....coz u dont wanna be kicking urself at the end of the day. Stay true to yourself. Good Luck

I think the answer is, when you are comfortable enough with them to invite them over. You shouldn't invite someone to your home before you are comfortable in doing so, and if they have a problem with that, you should have no problem showing them the curb.

I was at a woman's apartment after a month of dating. We saw each other a out three or four times before I went home with her. If your intentions are sex, then wait as long as possible. You should see if your relationship will last before asking him over.
Good luck !!

Smart girl is my opinion, its nice that you consider character so important. You should invite that person when they trust you enough to share intamate details about theirself and their life, and you feel confortable doing the same back.
