I received an email that said the same. Also from Microsoft. Thought how could it not be real.......it is from Microsoft. Also have been receiving others. From different things like Yahoo lottery and Coca Cola lottery.........Trouble is at the end it always states that it is from the United Kingdom or UK lottery. I just posted a similar question wondering where to report this. About a yr.ago I received an email and then a check in the mail saying they sent it to cover the taxes on the winnings. They told me to go to the bank and cash it, deposit it into my checking account and call them when I did this. I did take it to the bank only to find out someone had been there with a similar amount from the same bank.......Bank of America was where the check was drafted from. Theirs was cashed but mine couldn't be due to insufficient funds. Turned out it was from a loan place and if I had been able to cash it I would have accepted a loan that I would have had to pay back with interest. They also wanted information about my checking account before I went to cash the check but did not give it to them. So I would say that if you did not enter such a lottery it probably is a scam. Too good to be true.

It's a SCAM.. Send the e-mail to the Trash and don't reply to it.

This is just a variation of other Lottery scams. They want you to send money to cover "taxes" or hand over your bank account information. At best you loose the money you send, at worst they wipe out your bank account.

The word Scam springs to mind, send it to Microsoft, and let them try to sort it out, how-ever if youv'e given any personal details, eg Credit Card Details, Please get in touch with your bank as soon as possible.

It isn't Microsoft. It's just someone pretending. This is a SCAM. Just ignore it.

It's a scam. Don't reply to it and definitely don't hand over any personal information or payment. Delete it and forget about it.
