To Alicia, we don't have the large number of illegal immigrants in Canada that the USA has. We have more legal immigrants and yes, it may seem that they have it ALL, but as many of Canada's immigrants are Asian and East Indian, because of their culture, they do tend to live many people to a house and several generations together and they save their money to then help their individual members purchase homes one by one and sponsor more of their family members over. I don't begrudge the legal immigrants doing this, as long as they are doing it all legally and are not ruining neighbourhoods or disrespecting our laws.

In the USA, illegal immigrants are getting credit I have heard through the BofA and Wells Fargo and probably a few other places. They seem to be able to get credit and bank accounts at these places without even using a stolen SS# and without hiding the fact that they are illegal. I think this is wrong and disgusting business behaviour of these financial institutions.

Also, I think often illegal immigrants in the USA do have legal family members or friends in the country and they often go in with those people to put the mortgages and loans in that person's name with the agreement between each other that the illegal will make the payments. The illegals probably save up some extra payments ahead and then if they are ever deported, they just turn around and return within a very short period of time, leaving enough money with their legal friends/family members to keep up the payments until they return.

The longer an illegal has gotten away with living and working in the USA, the easier it is for him to save up money to ensure that he can easily pay a coyote for his quick return trip after deportation.

Banks like Bank of America and Citi-group have programs where you don't have to have a ss# to get a bank account, credit cards, or even loans. All you need is your mexican id card and they will take your money.
The main worry about this is without a Social Security number, the bank can't be sure the card's customers won't use the credit for criminal activity, such as terrorism or drug trafficking.

I hope someone gives you a valid answer because i'm asking the same question. 2 people i know are here illegally and working without a working permit at a care home. I work hard, pay taxes.... etc, at a decent company but you know, these 2 people I know are better off than me! They have things/gadgets i could never afford even if i worked 2 jobs! It seems like those who works an honest pay are less fortunate than those who works under the table and don't pay taxes! WELLS FARGO is their bank!!

Stealing people's ID and dumpster diving to get the info? Or maybe going after people's ID's after they die? Or maybe they con the land owners for property ?

I know that Bank of America is now giving them credit. My bank Wells Fargo is also thinking about doing this too. I wonder if they will even pay off the credit cards they get from Bank of America and other banks . I somehow doubt it will happen and the taxpayers will ends paying with higher rates on thier own cards because of them.

Either way it's very unfair to the rest of the law obeying citizens struggling to make ends meet because of them.

Well, it's like if I go to a foreign country and buy investment or a vacation property abroad. Also, Bank of America is allowing people without ss# to obtain a credit card. Their bank, their card, their rules.

To be honest with you they are being assisted by operation rescue groups who bring them applications for temporary green cards. There is one such group out of Portland, Oregon who travel through out the state handing them out. Assisting them in filling them out.

The State of MA is still handing out drivers licenses to them without proper documents too. As well as using stolen identities bought and paid for at about 2,000 dollars a piece out of Texas. Small town just over the border. At least that's what the national news reported. That's how.

To Daisy - add Bank of America to your list of American Banks assisting them.
