Every decent size city has pediatric dentist's offices. Cavities in baby teeth can easily be transferred to adult teeth. Your child is only three and will have most of those same teeth when she is seven, that is too long to go without addressing the problem. I recently took my three year old son to a great dentist in the Toledo, OH area. The doctor was great and treated my son for a cavity. The pamphlet he showed me would leave no doubt in your mind that problems need to be taken care of.
As for your daughter's reaction to doctors? That is why God made Nitrous Oxide.

Wow, not sure where you reside but here in California they actually recommend that a child visit a dentist by age 2 if not a bit earlier. You should definitely look into it and take her asap. Even if she is scared of doctors. It would be worse down the line. I know its easy to believe its only baby teeth, however cavities, can run deep into nerves, gums, and canals, thus infecting other teeth and even an entire jaw, causing headaches , and earaches. Take your child to a dentist. She relies on you to make the good decisions, show her what your made of :) Find a dentist that specializes in children and do your best to prep her and get her comfortable with the idea of going. :) Also , stay away from gummy, or sticky candy that does not dissolve quickly as these tend to sit on the teeth and rot them faster, and keep up the good work with brushing and flossing. ;)

That seems odd. We've been taking my daughter since she's had teeth. We take her to our family dentist. You might try checking with a pediatric dentist. www.aapd.org will let you search for a pediatric dentist by city and state.
My daughter is 10 now and sits in the dentist's chair on her own, but her mother or I sit beside her. When she was little, one of us would sit in the dentist chair and she would sit on our lap and just lean back against us.

you extremely ought to deliver her in in case you have any concerns in any respect. this is truly desirable to start up while they're 3. Alot of dentists will say come again while she's 4 - yet - you merely ought to push them to work out you and say - i'm in touch that she could have a hollow area. the 1st appointment often exams for the style of teeth and often there are merely no different matters - this is why in maximum circumstances this is desirable to attend till age 4 yet for all of us the place they have a undertaking like soreness interior the mouth or reason to have self belief there could be a hollow area - they'll see you yet you will be able to must be good approximately it to get an appointment in the event that they are asserting they do no longer ought to work out her now. See, dentists and medical doctors are having a tricky time earning a earnings by way of fact it expenses like $260 in line with hour or something to conceal the overhead and malpractice coverage and except the pass to is needed - an preliminary one at age 3 merely will no longer conceal their expenses to count quantity their teeth and deliver you on your way. people think of that it is the uninsured who're the difficulty - in spite of if this is the malpractice coverage and the pharmeceutical salespeople earning six determine earning that are inflicting those matters - on a similar time as the medical doctors and dentists war to maintain their doorways open for people regardless of their ability to pay. Sorry to pass off on a tangent. one factor i've got found out is to pre-practice my new child approximately circumstances. Get a e book approximately going to the dentist and confirm you talk approximately it weeks in the previous you pass. permit her deliver her favourite crammed animal or blanket together with her. confirm you remind her that there are no photos - that is what freaks her out - the seen the photos.
