You don't want to buy a cheap iron and have your hair not be as nice as you would like it period so here's a link that should be helpful for you to use your iron in a foreign outlet:

I wouldn't risk it. I used a blow dryer in India once with a converter and it ended up blowing the fuse and we lost power for the rest of the day.

like the previous person stated, in the experience that your CHI is twin voltage all you opt for is a plug adapter to hold flat pin from CHI to around pin wall outlet. some extreme end resorts do have one or 2 flat pin retailers. despite if that's merely properly matched with unmarried voltage, you opt for Voltage Converter 100W - 220 to 110v alongside with the plug adapter. i might recommend procuring it from close by electric powered shops in India, because of the fact they are synthetic with close by voltage fluctuations in concepts. it may desire to value everywhere around Rs. 500-a million,000.

You'll probably need a converter, but be careful you don't short circuit the iron. that happens sometimes with appliances. Get a conair iron or something like that for $20 at the drug store don't risk it.

most likely you're going to need a converter... if you're staying at a hotel, they will probably know and / or have what you need.

i'd buy a cheapo one for the trip, it's not worth all that money if you fry it.

I wouldn't ask that question on here, and risk damage to my CHI!
