It is actually pneumoNO
ultramicroscopic
silico
volcano
coniosis.

(One word only...I just put line breaks so the spelling would be visible)

So far, the longest word in the English dictionary.

It is an alleged lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silica dust found in volcanoes and/or asbestos. It was coined to serve as the longest English word. The more general and widely used term for this condition is pneumoconiosis.

This 45-letter word, referred to by logologists as "P45", first appeared in the Oxford English Dictionary in 1936, and has also since appeared in the Webster's Third New International Dictionary, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Seventh Edition, the Random House Dictionary of the English Language, Unabridged, and Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary.
