thanks for spreading the word.! when I post the Parvoguard site, and tell people it is their best bet for saving their puppies, they give me the thumbs down...sigh..

I guess it just sounds too good to believe! But, it does work. I have had WAY too much experience with parvo..

Note:Our communiity had a Parvo epidemic when the local sources got a bad batch of vaccine..Pups WERE vaccinated..over a hundred died..A few were saved by vet's treatment, But the vet hospitals were full ..Someone spread the word about driving two hours away to get Parvoguard.
Nearly all of the puppies that got the Parvoguard were saved..

Cool never heard of Parvoguard! I too have had way too much experience with watching pups die of this horrible virus. Unfortunately, most vets have never heard of it either. We are all taught that there is no stopping the virus once it starts, the only thing we can do is to support the dog on iv fluids until the virus is done running it's course and IF the dog survives great, but most don't... Most can't afford the 4-7 days hospitalization with fluids that it requires to see a dog through parvo, and even a lot of those that can afford it still lose their dogs even with fluid therapy. It is the dehydration that kills the dog not the virus. So that is why the vet just gave fluids and watched him, that's all any of them do, and I've worked in a lot of clinics and watched a lot of sweet dogs die horribly from this. My dalmation got it and survived after 6 days and $700 worth of fluids, if I hadn't worked at a vet and had credit there, she'd have been put to sleep, I'd never be able to afford to save her. How much does Parvoguard cost?

The first thing I did when I got my puppy when she was four months old was go to Banfield Pet Hospital and arranged a health care plan for her. It saved me a lot of money and I'm sure it saved her life. It includes all the shots needed for a puppy and all the boosters. The first batch of vaccinations she received included Parvo.

It also includes free office visits throughout the year. They also give her a physical examination, ranging from rectal exams to weight assessment. They also test her for heart worm, lyme, and Ehrlichia. They give a vaccine warranty that if anything happens to her after her vaccinations, they will take care of her and will pay for all the costs until she gets well. They also give a complete organ screen. They also check if she has worms and deworms her if she needs it.

Typically, all that and more of their services (I can't remember the rest) would cost maybe close to a thousand, if not more. But I only pay about $20 a month for a whole year. The down payment or something like that was a couple of hundreds. But it's definitely worth it. Afterall, it's my puppy we're talking about here.

It's great that your sharing your knowledge with the rest of us ... but, you have to realize that viruses affect everybody, be it dog or human ... in different ways. Just as lung cancer may kill one person, it may not do so to the next person. I think your vet may have done all that he could ... but, it was just too late. Sorry for your loss. :(

Sorry about your dog. My dog recently died of parvo; me sister put her on some grass for a split second, and I suppose that would be how she got it. I willl for sure lookup Parvoguard. Thanks

Its best to vaccinate, not all vets have all meds. parvoguard sounds like a vaccine not a cure.
