I have 8 tattoos right now, and i plan on getting atleast half sleeves and an entire back piece. my husband can't wait. i have more tattoos than he does. both my parents are tattoo'd up, my siblings are tattoo'd up. i think there's never too many.
if you don't like tattoos then maybe one is too many for YOUR body or if you think they're slutty, maybe YOU would look slutty or trashy with one. but not everyone. if you think 5 is enough then 6 is too many. it's all about personal opinion. and it's all kind of subjective, someone can say 3 is too many, but if i only have one and it covers my entire back, where does that fall? too many or not enough? tattoo's are beautiful, no matter what they are or why you get them. screw anyone that thinks they aren't, all that means is they shouldn't get one.
When i see a woman walking down the street with a tattoo my first thought is, 'wonder who did her ink?' that's all.
If you think they're beautiful but still feel iffy about getting some, put them somewhere you can hide 'em if you want or show 'em off if you're having a showy kinda day. you'll still have your beautiful art and still be able to cover it if you want.
and if anyone gets on here with that "God won't love you for it" crap they can bite me. they find that stuff in the bible right along with gay ppl are wrong, black ppl should be put down and women should be owned, so change with the times. God did.

i have tattoos and plan on having at least 12 by the time im done. the first thing that i look at when i see a woman with tattoos is where they are placed and what they are of and how many she has. i think that sometimes an arm covered in tattoos on a man is sexy but i have never thought that to look good on women, not even hard biker chicks. i think that if she has a couple tastefully placed large tattoos thats fine, but i think its not cute at all when her whole body is covered. what is the point in that, when you don't really see the individual work of art and instead you see a big colorful blob until you study it. i think it all has to do with who you are and what you're all about. Personally i would get a tattoo under my eye or on the back of my neck, or an arm band. but on some girls it wouldn't look right and so therefore they shouldn't get it. so its sexy until you break into portraying someone that you're not and then its just ugly.

I think it really depends on the woman. Some people look good with them, some just look cheap. As a basic rule though, I tend to think that three is the max if they're unrelated. If you've got a connecting theme though, you can cover your whole body. A bunch of unrelated pictures tend to look like you stuck stickers all over yourself, so it's much better to pick an image you want to portray from the get go- cat, knotwork, foliage, scythian woman, or what have you. Think of it like bumper stickers. How many does a person who passes by you have time to properly look at?

It's too many when there is more tattoos than flesh being seen but that goes for everyone. I don't like full sleeves tho it's an overkill. Tattoos otherwise are cute/sexy depending on what you got.

If the tattoos are good, there's no such thing as too many. However I've seen people with a lot of really badly done tattoos. I can't understand why someone would continue to put poorly done tattoos on themselves.

theres no such thing as too many...and women with tattoos is just awesome. when I see a woman with tattoos I emmediatley want to ask her about it..where she got it done, how long it took, things like that. but when I see a guy with tats I dont think to ask those things at all. its so much more common for men and its no big deal (its still sexy tho, dont get me wrong) . but women who can sit through the pain and be proud to walk around all inked up is just so bad ***.

too many would be when your body is so crowded you cant focus on a particular patch of ink, if its like a collection of tatoos, they shouldnt overlap, all over is fine by me so long as each one has room to breathe.
it depends on waht sort of tattoos, some iv seen covered in violent and garish tatts, not nice, but iv met a few with lovely collections that work well together.

personally I think each and everyone should be well thought out and in a place where you can hide it if you needed to. Sometimes mixing a bunch of things that don't really go together looks kinda tacky or trashy. I love dainty tattoos and if you want to do a bunch... think... toe ring or dainty ankle bracelet, shoulder blade or lower back....
but they are addictive!

On a woman or a man, regardless, I never think that they have too many. I usually assume that each has a meaning, so my notion of aesthetics does not apply.

24 and counting.... It is each individual persons opinion, some people like none, some people like body coverage. There is always going to be haters and joiners on each side of this question.
