You must improve your nutrition. If you are low in your B vitamins the fleas are more attracted to you. That is why some people give their dogs yeast pills. My sister was very allergic to fleas. To get them out of the house you need a small light to light up a little bowl of dish soap and water. You will find the bowl full of dead fleas in the morning. It really works. Amazing huh. Mmm

The vet's office has something that you apply to the back of the dog's neck and this will get rid of the fleas. Also, they may have the stuff you spray under beds and onto carpet too that is non toxic. If not, use the stuff from the vet, then give that dog a bath after 24 hours. Then pick up the throw rugs, vacuum the carpet and floors and empty it outside. Constant mop and please do shampoo the carpet and wash all the bedding and yours too. Then when weather permits, spray the yard with insecticide and don't walk on it for a few days, sometimes it is good to do it before it rains and then re apply it. There is an organic spread for the yard, but it is costly. You may just have to do portions of the yard at a time, one time the front then another the back. Sprinkle bay leaves around your door. It repells them. You must really get the stuff from the vet, it will kill the fleas on the dog and they will drop off that dog within 24 hours, it is usually a 3 month supply. If your dog has fleas that bad, more than likely it has tape worms from the fleas, they get them from the eggs from fleas. It is only a few bucks to treat the dog with the pills. Good Luck P.S. don't bring the yard poision in the house with you, throw those clothes right i the washer and those shoes out on a patio or on a separate rug and make sure the dogs don't chew them.

Wash your dogs with a flea shampoo and then let them air dry in the house so they don't get more fleas. Most of the time I give my dogs two baths. After they are dry, spray frontline down the middle of their backs starting at their neck all the way down their tail. It's one spray per pound and make sure to rub in the spray all over from where you sprayed it. I buy the small bottle of Frontline for $30 but it lasts me forever and I have a 42lb. dog. My dog is mosly an outside dog and I give her a bath about once a month. I spray the Frontline on her and she is good untill the next month. If she's not dirty, and I see fleas I'll just spray her again without a bath. otherwise, the Frontline lasts for a whole month. If you figure, it's cheaper to buy this than the cheap flea killers. I wouldn't recommend using the gel kind because it's $16. It lasts a whole month though but the Frontline spray lasts me about 4 months.

The dips work but he source must be near where you live, either carpet or rugs or even he couch or mattress or pillows, all these things need to be treated as well. The source may also be a neighbors dog cat or even bird so limit the dogs exposure to any other animal until you have it under control. Once the surroundings have been treated treat your dog with a bath then use a flea repellent. My favorite is Frontline plus, works great for my dog.

what kind of medicines have you used??? try advantage, its a topical medicine that you apply a drop in the back of the head and the fleas just die in 4- 6 hrs..it even kills the larvae. To kill the fleas on your carpet and stuff, you will have to flea bomb your place and then vacuum really good but remember to dispose the vacuum bag after you use it. And wash all your bedding. That's how you kill the fleas..You really have to be on top of the flea medication, apply it every 4 weeks..especially since spring is here and in the summer fleas start multiplying like crazy. Take care of it now while you can. Good luck

Do not get rid of your dogs over this, but if a dog has fleas... they also have worms. What you have to do is get about 5 foggers (bombs)... good flea killer (not the cheap stuff either) and dewormer. In order to control fleas you have to strike them hard. The dips won't work because fleas in-bed themselves in carpet, bedding, small cracks, furniture, clothes... Absolutely everything. After you take care of your pets, do not allow them to come in contact with any other dogs or animals until they have a good flea killer on them. Revolution works great, but most of the time you can't get Revolution unless it is prescribed. You can check online at www.petmeds.com and they might have Revolution to buy without a prescription. Revolution works great because it stops dogs from being in contact with fleas and last for about 30 days. It also stops worms. You have to reapply it for about 90 days and that should stop your problem. Good Luck..

Put flea collars on the dogs or use the stuff where you put one drop on for a week or ten days. Vacuum all the time! Fleas lay eggs in the carpet. Get them out of there!
If you do this, they should be gone within a week of so. You have to keep it up to get all of them as there will be some eggs hatching.
I think there is some sort of trap that uses a light to attract them. I have never needed one, but I have seen it. Look on pet related websites.
Good luck, I hate fleas! My cats brought them in once. Yuck!

If you can't afford a flea preventative, Adam's flea and tick is the next best thing. Dogs hate it but you can watch the fleas fall off and die almost instantly. Also, it can be used in the house and on bedding, plus they make a flea spray for your yard.
If you don't like that, you can use diatomaceous earth. Food grade, not pool grade... it's a natural flea preventative and can be added to food as a natural dewormer. Also I think you might be able to use Seven dust, but not 100% sure on that one.

Dish soap are for dishes people!! and animals trapped in oil spills.Get something from your vet, also ask them for an apolstry flea/tick spray, you have to make sure you treat everything the animal has come in contact with too, alot of people dont realize couches/ beds/ carpet etc... they can live in those things too, and if you get rid of the fleas on the animal and not everything eles it will keep passing it back and forth and you will never get rid of them..

Go to the vet so he/she can prescribe a flea treatment for youd dog. Products such as Revolution, Frontline, or Advantix should help. Those products are also sold at Petco (by the cash registers). Meanwhile, bathe your dog with flea shampoo, and depending on where your dog sleeps, you should also wash and clean the area with clorox.
