Bored in relationship?

Question

Okay so I've been seeing this guy for three years now. He's a great guy with a big heart (he tends to put on a front and act like a bad ***). He keeps me on my toes, and I never know what to expect from him. However I'm bored with him, and I find it oddly ironic my ex comes back into my life as I'm getting bored with him. I dont know what to do. Any advise greatly appreciated.

the reason your getting bored is that your ex is around and he gave you something that you never got with your current boyfriend.
