Well, heh... that's very open ended. I guess it would depend on what kind of God existed. If an angry God existed, perhaps not. If a Pagan God existed, perhaps preachers wouldn't exist AT ALL! If a distant God existed, I think it would be about the same.

(I'm not sure what the difference is between a distant God and an imaginary one.)

Seems like they don't let it effect their rapacious habits now and I see no reason to think there is a god now either . If you mean if they admitted it I think there would still be many scams for it's not based on god but on money.

" IF ", what a loosely used word when asking a question about GOD ? If GOD did not exist , what would they be preaching about ? If GOD did not exist , there wouldn`t be any moral standards for you to know the difference between good from bad !! There would only be confusion and disorder !! Without GOD , there would only be GODless liberals !!

Look round you. The answer is plainly "yes". There's no god of any kind out there, but even if the Christian faith didn't exist there'd be something just as absurd and manipulable.

Yeah, they would just find another belief to expolit. Corruption is in every avenue in life, not just religion. Religion just happens to be a popular one because people want miracles and are sometimes (stupidly) willing to shell out good money to try to make those miracles a reality.

Well um... If he didn't (and I'm not saying he does) then there would still be people who believe in him and there would still be people who used to believe in him and turned corrupt, so... Yeah.

If God did not exist, neither would you or anyone else for that matter. If the Creator of the universe, God, did not exist, than the universe would not exist, therefore meaning that this question you are asking would not exist. However, since you do exist, and the universe does exist, and your question exists, God does exist.

It is quite apparent there are. Isn't that question a little redundant?
