At least once every human being should have to fight for their lives. It teaches them that milk does not come from supermarkets, that safety does not come from policemen and that news is not something that happens to other people. The operative phrase here is, "came to kill you." Anyone can be killed by someone determined/skilled enough to take that step. If you live a lifestyle that includes people capable of killing, life becomes a crap shoot. A violent act only takes seconds and is usually not seen coming. If you are aware that someone is coming to kill you, your body will move into it's fight or flight mode. Don't listen to the bleeding hearts. Use the maximam amount of force it takes to put the attacker on the ground and unable to harm you. If the attacker has a weapon and you have to shoot him, and every adult should own and be able to use a firearm, keep shooting at his center mass (chest stomach area) untill he is down/dead and unable to harm you. Remember, a determined man with a knife can rush you from 10 feet away and stab you before the average person can react defensively....be aware of your surroundings. If you suspect that someone is going to kill you, be proactive. As soon as you see ANY type of weapon react as quickly and violently as you are capable of to neutralise the threat. Remember the old vigilanty code, " it is better to be judged by twelve, than carried by six." As far as type of killer. Dead is dead, a killer is a killer. If I had to give an answer I would say there are two types, good ones and bad ones. If someone is trying to do you harm, you better hope you are confronted by the second type. Good luck.

If someone was trying to kill me I would try and disarm them if possible, and if not I would kill them if possible, or if neither choice worked I would flee, hide or get help. I don't care if they're 10, if they're trying to kill me they're trying to kill me I don't care about age or maturity.

Sometimes not defending youself, or your family, is a greater sin than taking the life of another. Fighting in a just war is an act of charity towards your fellow citizens. The aim in self-defense of this nature isn't to kill another, but to protect yourself and/or your family at all costs. If the agressor dies than it is a tragc, but unitended consequence of the agressor's actions.

It's the Gurus purpose to kill who you "think" you are, is it not? My understanding is the true Guru is within. The more a man "listens" to the wisdom of the Guru the more he or she is willing to die. "To be free one has to die while still alive".

i know where your going with this and it wont work the bible says your suppose to protect your family and you are allowed to defend yourself . i would find a way to put him down but not take his life.
