Hi!

It's not wrong at all. All that matters is how you feel about each other. Ignore the judgemental people that say it will 'look weird'. What a load of rubbish! I think they are picturing a 45 year old greying man with a teenage-looking young girl.

It's more likely that she looks like a mature, grown woman (which of course, she is, by the age of 22 - not a girl! I would refrain from calling her that, and begin calling her a woman!) and you are quite probably not grey! 38 is certainly not 'pervy old man' territory, and 22 is hardly child-zone!!

If it helps, I have been going out with my 36 year old boyfriend for 3 years, and I am 22. We have a brilliant relationship, which goes to show that age counts for nothing!

Enjoy yourselves :-D

i do no longer continuously call a exceedingly youthful female who dates older men a gold digger. If the guy is cool, youthful and in type i'm vulnerable to be certain the female probably slightly extra grown up than the organic chick her age, which is additionally appealing shaped between appealing women persons. and ladies mature faster than men. I certainly have a sizzling spouse who's 9 years youthful than me and that i've got been a broke cat the whole time. yet whilst the extra youthful lady is style sizzling and the guy is a toad 25 years older than her, wearing an 8 hundred greenback pinky ring and a undesirable rug, i will anticipate she is a gold digger. I view it precisely a similar potential whilst the gender is reversed. If I see a 21 year historical guy who's connected with a very smoking 35 or 40 3 hundred and sixty 5 days historic cougar (older for lots of girls), i might slap youthful blood on the returned and congratulate him. yet whilst he's wearing around the handbag for some dowdy plus length asexual mature female, i will assume he's no longer maximum precious a gold digger yet additionally a gay, for the reason that a healthful youthful on the instant dude should not be going to get into that on as a straightforward element.

Wrong? Not at all. Going to work in the long term? Probably not.

First, if she's 22 she's probably right out of college. She may be brilliant with a head on her shoulders but she hasn't seen much of life. If she settles down now there will come a time in her life that she'll wonder what she missed out on.

Second, if he's 38 then he's got a whole lot of experiences and baggage. There ma be kids (as old as she is if he started young) and that may not go over too well. Or there may be no past and he may be in quite the hurry for the wife and kid scenario.

Third, be careful no one is taking advantage of each other. She could be using him for his money or he using her for her looks.

Sometimes this kind of thing can work. Love knows no age and neither does sexual attraction. But look to where you both are in life and what you both want to see if it has the potential to work in the long term.

Sorry but the guy being 38 and the girl 22.... it's kinda wrong...

If you think about it the gap is 16 years.... especially since the guy is older this would look like "a Dad fell in love with his daughter"

Im sorry but if people were to look at it (especially here where i come from) it would look really bad but in the states i don't know how people would think...

Hi there

It shouldn't be a problem as long as you both love each other but nearly all the relationships i have come across that have a huge age difference they generally don't last longer than 4 years. My wife is 8 years younger than me and we are having problems at the moment. Its not the age its just that we are both developing at different rates and are now at a time in our life's when we want different things. Yes the sex will work and the dating will be OK. but long term? The futures not so bright and 16 years is a very big gap.

Regards

Although it is legal, it looks really weird. Think about it: why would a young, possibly attractive 22 year old be dating a 38 year old man? My guess would instantly be for the money he has. Its not the best idea in the world, but at least you aren't 90 years old (aka J Howard Marshall & Anna Nicole Smith, lol).

It's is up to the people involved. If they are happy and don't have a problem with it then no one else should either. A 16 year age difference is somewhat of a barrier when it comes to likes and dislikes. But if it can be over come then who am I to say anything about it. I wish anyone who is willing to step out in Faith and Love Good Luck:)

Unless its illegal, it never makes a difference. Society looks at it as a way of being successful. Youre older, which opens your pool of women.(especially if you got the $$$) It happens all the time so theres no reason why not. Just dont expect a highly committed relationship out of a 22 year old.

(if thats what youre lookin for)

Men are still quite immature at 38 but I would hope the girl has a good relationship with her father otherwise I would worry she may be seeking a father figure, in which case she may be too immature and there will be problems.

Do what feels right. If it feels good being with the other person be with them, if all you can do is think "There's such an age gap" leave it alone before someone gets too involved.
I went out with some one 18yrs older than me when I was 18, but all the time I was with him I never gave it a thought.(except he had a daughter my age)
