Honestly, your hair will grow at the same rate as it always had no matter what you do. No product out there will make it grow faster, no matter how expensive or what it promises. However, what you do to it as it grows will make a huge difference in your perception of how it looks. The only time I have heard of hair growing faster (or not growing at all) is if someone is on certain medications that has that effect. And no, I don't know what they are :)

Don't overshampoo, don't blow dry it or use curling irons on it every day. Shampooing every day causes your hair to lose the natural oils, drying it out and causing breakage. Putting your hair in a pony tail or braid every day will also cause breakage. If you do use a blow dryer, put it on a medium or low heat setting, and try letting it air dry for 15 minutes before blow drying. The most damage that occurs to hair is when it is wet. Using a small amount of gel or other product will smooth down the cuticule of your hair and should be used if you're going to blow dry.

Get regular trims so you aren't dissatisfied with it as it grows out. If you don't like the length, try something new like having some layers put in or a new subtle color wash to make it look different, such as a semi-permanent hair color that washes out in 6 weeks.

I would recommend Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamins. Your hair normally grows a 1/2 inch per month so this helps replemish the vitamins your hair needs and does help grow a little more than that a month. Keep it trimmed to keep it from breaking off and it will really help too.

i take prenatal vitamins, in place of like those hyped up hair, skin, and nails supplements. They seemed to make my hair not only grow faster but it was much stronger too. My nails were uber strong too, and all the vitamins you need to stay healthy day to day will help you with your skin too! Also when you go into your hair dresses, get your stylist to trim it just enough so that it will grow. This is called dusting. LOL just like cleaning house or something.

Pre-natal vitamins if you are a woman, and protein shakes if you are a man. It can be helpful, unless you are genetically disposed to thin hair which does not grow as easily.

Maybe try to trim it. It won't take as long to grow than just watching it day after day doing nothing.
