I got this straight off a website, but its pretty good.
As a bride, you want your bridesmaids to have a beautiful reminder of their part in your most special day. After all, it wouldn’t be the same without them. These family and/or friends play an important role in the celebration of a new marriage, and the tradition is to thank them with a gift that is sure to be sentimental, no matter what it may be.
Although there are endless possibilities for bridesmaid gift ideas, here are several points that you’ll want to consider when purchasing a gift for your attendants.
1. Choose something that fits the personality and/or style of the recipient.
This can be challenging because there is usually a mix of different personalities and styles in any wedding party. One option is to purchase the same item in various colors or styles to suit each bridesmaid. Another great idea is to actually have their gifts personalized, whether by engraving, embroidery or other means. This is commonly done with groomsmen gifts, but also is a fabulous idea for the ladies. They will appreciate your thoughtfulness in making the gift a bit more personal.
2. Select a gift that the bridesmaids will actually find useful.
Don’t waste your money on gifts that will become dust catchers (or worse). If you choose something that is beautiful and practical, it will be welcomed and enjoyed by those receiving it.
3. Give something of quality.
This doesn’t mean breaking the bank, but simply buying the best quality that you can afford. It shows you are genuinely thankful for the help and support your bridesmaids no doubt have given you. Sometimes after all the expense of a wedding, it’s easy to cut corners in this area. But your generosity will be appreciated.
One gift that meets all of these criteria and has endured in popularity through the years is the heirloom jewelry box. Whether wooden, metal or crystal, jewelry boxes are useful for anyone. A design can be found to fit any style and a high quality box can easily last for a lifetime. If you’d like to take it even a step further, include a piece of jewelry in each box.
With these tips in mind, you’ll be sure to select gifts that your bridesmaids will enjoy and let them know how special they are to you.

I think jewelry is too personal, unless they are your sister I would nix that out. Most of the time the stuff you give them ends up in a jewelry box and never used, unless of course at the wedding to show that they liked it.
I would go for things like a massage, manicure & pedicure followed by a nice breakfast or brunch.
If not, a beauty bag or make-up bag is always nice with a neutral lipgloss, some bath & bodyworks lotions, sprays & bath gels, (or any nice scented lotions, sprays & bath gel - I just think Bath & Bodyworks has the best stuff) a small brush and mirror.
Sephora also has a great selection, and the shop girls are always really nice helping you out to pick some stuff to put into the bags.
Have fun!

i gave my bridesmaids necklaces that they could wear at the wedding if they wanted that my cousin (a jewelry designer) made. but i also gave them more personal gifts that each would like. my moh got a nice martini glass set (she collects martini glasses), my sis-in-law got a beautiful crystal dolphin figurine (she loves dolphins), and so on.
as long as it's something from the heart i'm sure each bridesmaid will love what you get them.

I think a nice little gift bag with a few trinkets would do
A keychain that displays their personality, a cd of their favorite band, and their favorite lip gloss or eyeliner. Little things like that
Relatively cheap yet thoughtful as you put their favorite things in their little gift bag.
Oh good luck on your wedding! Many happy years to you.

you could get them each a nice necklace or earing that they'll love (also lets you make sure one won't wear a big chunky black dog collar to your wedding :P)
Something different for each is nice too - something each one is into or that's special between you two.
a personalized gift in nice too you can get those at any wedding shop or jewelery store or emroider something yourself.
Put some thought into it- those are the best gifts!

I gave them each a light green, peridot gemstone necklace, set in while gold. Our wedding colours were light yellow and green. They looked beautiful with the yellow dresses they wore, and I love how peridot symbolizes happiness, relaxation, rebirth and intuition. I also wrote each of them a note on nice paper about what they mean to me, and put it in a frame.

I have an earings which I like it very much. Every time, I attend a party, I will wear them. Fro me, how much it cost is out of question. What it matters is it suits me perfectly.
You can search Globebuy.com to get one for your girl.

I'm going to pay for mine to get their nails done before the wedding. In doing so, it will give us a chance to hang out and relax before the big day and give them a chance to get their nails done when they normally don't (college students-not enough money)

I had six bridemaids and I bought them earrings to illuminate each of their special personalities. Not very creative but they loved them. Congratulations!

A piece of jewelry is traditional - a bracelet, necklace or charm.
