Latin, because a lot of anatomical, chemical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical terms are in Latin.
For communication with your patients, the top four world languages are: Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, English, French, Arabic.
Also beneficial (regional) are:
AFRICA: Swahili, English
WESTERN EUROPE: French, Spanish, Italian, English
EASTERN EUROPE: Russian, German, Greek, Serbian
WEST ASIA: Arabic, Hebrew
SOUTH ASIA: Hindi
SOUTHEAST ASIA: Malay-Indonesian, Thai, Filipino (close to Spanish)
EAST ASIA: Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean

id say farsi, tegalo chinease. just because there are a lot of asians and depending on where you practice you maybe surrounded by iranians. Los angeles has a lot of them. and and there are a lot of philipinos. they are lots in California and nevada alone. i hope this helps and good luck with medical school.
