I've been talking to my online friend Tammy for nearly a year now, and we're really close, but she says online relationships don't work and she likes another guy, who so far hasn't returned her affection (I'm not sure how much she likes him, or how much he likes her, but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere). I don't think she knows (or believes) that if she wants it I will find a way to move across the planet to be with her next year.
Later this year I'm going to call her by surprise and ask if she wants me to move across the world to be with her (I won't propose marriage, because I don't think marriage is best for us, just being together), as soon as I can be sure I can get the money. I'll tell her if she doesn't want me, there's no reason for me to come, but that if any person loved her half as much as I do where she lives, it would be enough. I just want to make her happy and for her to make me happy, and she's like my baby, I could never stop feeling the way I do about her. :)

Dont u think this is a bit rash.... I mean not to burst ur bubble but online relationships dont really work. I mean why dont u find someone in ur area. Theres plenty of girls and I dont think u should limit urself to just her cuz u havent actually talked to her or seen her yet.

Are you so confident that she won't slap a restraining order on you? A lot of people want the added protection of the Internet to put miles between them.
Now, I'm not saying she is one of those people. But if there is a chance, don't break a good thing by surprising her. That's like getting out of the shower and finding some stranger standing there claiming to be a friend. You might think, :"It doesn't matter if you're my my friend or not, get outta my bathroom."
Best way is to ask permission to come and she her. Well, you already new that or you wouldn't have suggested it.

This is a huge risk you've got to take.
There's a slim chance for you if she likes somebody else. She doesn't want to totally hurt your feelings so she's still talking to you online.
Spare yourself the pain... But if you're really head over heels with this girl, it's up to you. Just be prepared to come home either broken hearted or not

Have you talked to her on the phone? Is she married? What do you really know about her except what she has told you, for all you know she could be a man posing as a woman, yea I am sure she sent pictures too, but they could be pictures of anybody. How do you know she likes your baby has she ever met your baby? Move on and find someone who you can see in person and you know what your getting.

If you love her that much you should tell her. A normal human wants to hear the words and if you really want her you should tell her how you feel and tell her that you don't really want her to move anywhere but with you. It will crash or it will be the best thing that you have done in your life. What do you really want? and what does she really want because life is too short NOT to be loved. Take care Heather

You have not actually met the girl. It is entirely possible you will not like her in the flesh.
I know a girl who divorced her husband to fly to Spain supposedly to live with her on line "lover" in Spain. He was at the airport, took one look at her and said, "I do not like your looks and I do not want you to be here". Then he turned and walk off. She was shocked and had no money and was stranded in Spain. She went to Travelers Aid and they got her a room until she could get some money to come back to the US and start over.

I couldn't tell you what she would say because i do not know her...but you seem to know her very well...what do you think she would say...think about it...i think that it is romantic that you would move far away just to be with her...and i hope that things work out for you two...i say if you really care (or LOVE) you should do it
