Peace be with you.

YES, Jesus had brothers, sisters and a mother, Matthew 1:21-25, Matthew 12:46, and Mark 3:35.

Matthew 1:21-25 and Luke 1:11-13 show that Jesus and John the Baptist were both conceived by the Holy Ghost.

Revelation 12 tells the real truth concerning the the first 13 spirit in the world, the Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob and his 12 sons, the prophets, John the Baptist and the 12 Apostles, and finally Jesus all were conceived by the Holy Ghost.

Jesus said "call no man your father upon the earth, for one is your Father, which is in heaven

Remember the woman, for she anointed Jesus for his burial.

The problem with relying on a translation of a work written originally in a different language is that some things get lost in translation. The term "brother" is loosley used throughout the Bible. Lot and Abraham are said to "brothers" although earlier in Genesis Lot is obviously described as Abraham's nephew. The verse you based this on could just as well have been refering to cousin, and/or unlce-nephew relation.

Catholic tradtion holds that Joseph was an older man when he married Mary, which means he might have been a widower, and possibly had other children from that marriage who would than have been referred to as brothers and sisters of christ. Thank you for realizing the Da VInci code is fiction.

Usually I hear the verse you support this question with based (Mark 6:3), explained via the manner I used in my first paragraph. To really understand what is meant in the Bible requires an advanced understanding, which I by no means have, of how the Bible was meant to be used, and how it was written and how they used language. There is a parallel with the use of a word translated as "until" which suggests Mary was ever virgin (Ie: no children besides Jesus), until is used in the same manner when descirbing Mary {Matthew 1:25} and {Matthew 28:20}.

The term "first born" never implied to ancient Jews that other children existed. It merely states the legal status of the child who first "opens the womb." The Jewish law as given from Moses is confusing and self-contradictory if first-born requires other children.

You are undoubtedly right when you say "Jesus was the only one who was conceived of the Holy Spirit" - and I will depend this truth from anyone who'd say otherwise. But Joseph and Mary did have other children - 4 brothers and a minimum of 2 sisters. Remeber this, Jesus was called in the bible "the firstborn son of Mary". Meaning, among Mary's son, there should still be - secondborn...thirdborn...etc. And what about Jesus' sisters?...I say a minimum of 2 (but there could be more than that).

These are all written in the bible - just READ and STUDY...

God bless you...

Not too much is said about the half siblings of Jesus. The Bible only mentions them briefly to say that Mary had other children.
According to tradition James and Jude--they each wrote a Book in the Bible--were considered Jesus' half brothers.

They were children of Joseph from a previous marriage. Joseph was a widower when he married Mary. You will find this in the Protoevangelium of James. Although it is a non-canonical gospel it does not mean that the stories there are false. The gospel just did not meet the requirements of canonicity.
In fact, the name of Mary's mother and father were taken from this gospel.
Peace and every blessing!

Do you read the Bible? The Book of James was written by Jesus's brother (James).
