I have this huge crush on my BFF's cousin. But I'm shy, and when he asked me out I said no. He later asked my friend why I said no, and she told him I was shy. He called me a prude little idiot(according to my friend). I dont think I'm prude, just 'cuz I get good grades, and am still a virgin. Dont say he's mean for calling me that, because I dont really care, but why would he say that. He doesn't even know me that well. How can I stop being so shy, and say yes. He's gonna ask me again, what do I do?!?!?!?!?

Did it feel good, hearing that he made fun of you, called you names? Did you want to go running right over to him and thank him for calling you a prude (up-tight about sex). I don't think you liked that.

Still, from what you said, it sounds like you're looking for a chance to have him scratch your itch. Or maybe not? Is it just curiosity to know why or are you thinking that being shy is the worst thing in the world. You need to observe from a distance what kind of man he is.

Is he likely to insult and make fun of you in public? Drop him like a hot potato. Does his opinion matter to you so much? You're the one that's got the itch that he wants to scratch.

And, he is going to try to treat you like a piece and nothing more. Is that what you want? You can be easy or you can be class. I suggest you choose the class side.

he probably said that you were prude because he was lashing out after feeling rejected. If you like him, maybe say yes you would like to go out with him, but that you want to take it slow, as you are shy. You can't hide forever because you are shy and this is a perfect opportunity to come out of your shell. Just make sure he is the right sort of person for you to hang out with and good luck. Also being a virgin is something to be proud of and you can share that with someone very special one day when you feel the time is right.

Some people are just shy it does not mean you are a prude, after his comment about you if he asked me out again I would say no because he has already disrespected you. As you get older you will grow out of being shy. Don't worry many other guys will ask you out who will not call you names, to me he is the idiot and not worth your time of day

Uhm, he called you a 'prude little idiot' because you're shy?? Next time he asks you out, tell him that you don't want to date a jerk. You sound very young. I suggest you give it a few years before going out with anyone.

EDIT: 15 is that young!! You are still a child. Focus on school. Save dating for college or your senior year of high school.

Lets say it together "Yes" It wasn't that hard was it? (Dont say "yes" this time) Now your not a prude any longer. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin.
