As long as you are over 26 and have been a member at least a year, you can ask your Bishop about Temple Prep classes. I thought you had to wait until marriage or going on a mission too, until my HT told me different. I quickly made arrangements to take the Temple Prep class.

Well, a lot of it depends on timing and spiritual maturity. Some of my friends - who are women and did not serve a mission - went through the temple around age 30. By the way, ignore all the anti-Mormon answers here. Some people have got stuck in a rut of posting anti-Mormon sites, and whatever you find on the Internet about the temple has almost always been taken out of context or changed. I have been running into this stuff since college 20 years ago, and I know what they're up to. After going to the temple dozens of times it is easy to recognize what people are saying or implying. As another answerer said, it would be awesome if you did serve a mission, but you have the right to get your own answers.

That's fine you don't plan on going on a mission, I think it's better not to go if you aren't going to put your heart into it anyways... not that I don't think going a mission is extremely important, because it is, but I really don't believe it is for "all". Hopefully that sounded how I wanted it to...
As far as receiving your endowment, I think they encourage you to wait until you are 26 if not getting married... basically I would say they want you to wait til marriage because you are more likely to keep all the covenants... thats just my guess.
Speaking with your bishop and most importantly praying to your Heavenly Father are the best ways to know when you should go to the temple..
Good luck!

The suggested age if you are not going on a mission or getting married is 25 years old. This was a letter sent out to Bishops back in 1992 (?) but it depends on your current Bishop & Stake President.
One question, if you are worthy to go to the temple, why are you not going on a mission? Just something to consider. I served a mission & it was very difficult but one of the best experiences I have had so far in life. I learned tons about myself, my Saviour & my relationship with Heavenly Father. There are lessons you will learn serving that you can't gain any other way. I don't mean to preach at you & I am certain you have heard all this before- but pray about what you should do.
Good luck!

As has been said, consult with your bishop. Since you have to be ordained an Elder to qualify, you should have the priesthood first. Next consider that you can have a calling as a Ward Missionary. Whether you spend two years away from home or not, you can still participate. Having your endowment could be a boost to this calling.

Yes you can take your endowment out, talk to your bishop and ask him what he thinks. It depend on what he and the stake president thinks. I was able to get mine out without marriage or mission, and I am glad I did. Talk with your bishop and he will guild you in what is best.

Any member who is 18 years old or older (and a Melchizedek priesthood holder for men) can approach his/her Bishop when they feel they are ready. Discuss your wishes with your bishop, have him interview you, interview with the Stake President, and go through the temple.
So the answer is, "whenever you feel you're ready to do so".

Why would you ahvee your endowments made? I am not a Mormon, but I know somewhat about the faith. It strikes me that you don't want to do this.

These are sacred things, talk to your bishop. Please follow the prophets council--(if you can) every worthy young man should serve a full time mission. No exceptions. Why would you want your endowments but not want to serve a mission?
