There is a 44 Auto Mag, Muzzle velocity 1510 & Muzzle energy 1020 with a 200gr. bullet.Next is the Wildey Magnum like the one Charles Bronsen used in a movie. It is a 45 Winchester Magnum, Muzzle Velocity 1400 & Muzzle enegey 1001 with a 230gr. bullet.

Any pistol of an average calibre will beat the hell out of your ears when you shoot it without hearing protection. Try firing just a plain old 9mm without plugs in, it kills.

But as far as the loudest calibres in semi-automatic pistols? Well, probably the loudest would be: .357 sig - it's not a huge round but high velocity, it has lots of recoil and ultra loud, 10mm auto is, other than something totally unpractical like .50AE, a powerful round that is likely very loud. 10mm auto is the most powerful more commonly used semi-auto pistol cartridge I can think of. But even then, these days its more of a niche cartridge.

Why would you want to buy a gun based on which is the loudest though? That doesn't make any sense.

i have no idea which pistol is the loudest.
my 1911 is loud, but i think my cz 52, chambered in
7.62x25 tokarev, is louder. muzzle velocity is just over 1600 fps, and the flash is the size of a basketball.

Silly question. . .

Try the .45 Grizzly magnum. Based on 1911 design.

Loud, powerful, evil recoil. . .
