If you got this one as a puppy, it HAS to shed the puppy coat, to grow in the adult coat. They don't keep the puppy fluff forever. It has to release, or we would have adult poodles with that straighter puppy hair, rather than the correct adult frizz.
I raised poodles for Many years..None keep the puppy coat..

There is no such a thing as a non-shedding breed. Some breeders love to use that tactic, which is not true.... if your toy poodle shed a little bit, she is just being normal... some breeds just shed more than others, ie a chow vs. a dobie..... some hair feels silky others feel like sandpaper ie. maltese vs shar pei....
In some breeds, their hair falls down to the ground and stays there, which some people call them the non-shedding breeds.... like poodles and schnauzers.... and in the shedding breeds, the hair falls off but it can float and get into anything, like the dust bunnies that any husky and rottie owner can tell you about.

They don't shed MUCH. Any dog whose hair you have to clip will shed less than dogs whose coat is a consistent length all the time. If you brush your dog's hair every day, they won't shed anything but what you brush out though.

For the breeds that don't shed.. they dont mention that their hair breaks off just like ours does. They may not shed but can still molt if they have really silky soft hair.
GOOD LUCK

Sorry, all dogs shed.
There isn't an organism on this planet that doesn't lose dead or dying cells or larger structures like hairs.

poodles shed----all dos that have fur will shed. Schnauzers are the only dogs I am aware of that have hair instead of fur.

dogs like poodles and malteses are prone to skin diseases which can often have a side effect of shedding. you should take it to a vet as soon as possible. good luck :)
