Would having strangers make up a screenname that is identical to yours, with a # or symbol added, and post on a national wedding forum pretending to be you, be considered harrasement to the police? I've emailed the forum moderators, but they won't do anything. Here are examples of what is being said...

I don't know what to do anymore. These people don't even know me, they've just taken stuff I've written on a support site and talked about me on this wedding forum. I'm at a lost at what to do.

Yes.
We had a clone like this in the religion and spirituality section. She would come in sometimes 3 clones at a time and ask truly obscene questions and give equally bad ideas in our names. She also copied our images to wear. However she was illiterate and never got too far.
We received unsolicited smutty emails that were just attrocious. She hacked a few ladies and did some very bad stuff. Yahoo would never do anything. Just the usual. It did not matter, she would be back in an hour with a new clone.
Finally Yahoo advised the worst hit woman to contact the FBI.
For awhile this person continued. The FBI woman kept posting her warning about the FBI .. some cut n paste warning they spoke to her about. For a few days she got worse.
THEN we found out she was a HE. THEN.. after a particualrly bad night.. we all sent Yahoo LONG LONG letters with copies of everythng.. everything... we went to places wehre she pretended to be us and complained... she complained and cost us each hundreds of points which we refuted..
Then.. I do not know what happened.. but two weeks ago.. she completely disappeared.
Be persistent. It can be done.
