if the teacher is great, you'll have a great time i'm sure. the enthusiastic answerers don't and will never know exactly what kind of transcript improvements, or how big an improvement would have been made from them picking AP Literature with a boring teacher.
But us answerers should tell you something you don't know/another viewpoint. my viewpoint is to very carefully consider your peers who will be in potential classes.

Yeah definitely. If the teacher can get you motivated and pumped up, then the class will not only be beneficial, but you'll probably end up liking the class. Talk to others and really make sure. I took a chem class based on subject matter and I really regret it. take a class for yourself and the rest will just follow.

I did that in high school. Took an extra art class (sculpture) as an elective because the teacher was such a great guy!!

i took art because i like it but i also had a good teacher then they left so its not as good anymore (instruction wise) but stiill i enjoy art so its alright
