Your question does not make a lot of sense.

In the US, the federal government does not recognize legal relationships between two people of the same gender. So, federal benefits are automatically denied.

A handful of states provide for some sort of legal benefits between people of the same gender -- three states with civil unions, two with domestic partnerships, and one (Mass) that allows full marriage. But those benefits are not portable, again due to federal laws that require gender-based discrimination.

I think you are confused. This is in the immigration section. Unless you are talking about gay people sneaking over the border I think you have the wrong category (and syntax). There is a gay, lesbian, and transgender section on Y!A.
