And don't say to move on because its not easy once the feeling is there and it doesn't go away as easily as you would like it to even if you know its a lost cause.

If you really think their worth it stick around and see what happens. Things change, people change, and times change. Continue to be their friend and date other people and set your limits for the time being.

I would tell that person to write down what it is exactly the like about the other person. Chances are they are superficial things and you will realize that and be able to understand that he is now the person you thought he was, that you made him into a person you wanted to believe he was. After that, I'd say get out, live life, enjoy it and meet, meet meet many other new people to take your fixation off of the one.

Look... you have to understand that staying is only going to make it worst. I have been through this so I'm talking from experience. You have to leave because if you stay you will get hurt over and over and eventually they will drop you anyway. Save your time and move on. You can't make someone like you.

honestly, I have to say it - move on
you can't force someone to like you!

there's plenty of fish in the sea, especially if you're still young, you're probably not 'completely in love' with the person, so go find someone else

Stick around maybe the person will change their mind. Then after a while you will find someone else to focus your thoughts on and it will be peachy ******* keen.

tell her... "i'm laying it all on the line... i really care about you and if all you can be is my friend right now i respect that but just let me be your friend..." take her to the movies, bowling, or out to eat...you can't just make someone like you or fall in love with you without showing them who you really are. show her how great you are and if it is meant to be then she will be yours someday. just take it at her pace... and don't rush into anything that neither of you are ready for. good luck~
