wow, is it really that hard to understand?
If you talk to a girl, and she thinks you're attractive, then she won't admit she has a boyfriend. But if you don't come off as too attractive, then she'll say she has a boyfriend, sometimes even when she doesn't.

They never have boyfriends if they like you enough....
like as in, they don't have boyfriends if they like you?

False. Even if she thinks you're the hottest guy she's ever seen, if she's honest and genuine, she wouldn't lie about the fact she's in a relationship. If you're really all that and she liked you that much, the right thing to do would be to break off her relationship and THEN pursue something with you. Not every girl is a cheat, but the cheats make the rest of us look just awful.
On the flip though, if you're not what she considers attractive, there is no harm done (for her) to say she has a boyfriend to get out of talking to you.

Wow. You're very judgmental.
Not all girls are like that. You're also trying to say that if someone doesn't blurt out that they're taken IMMEDIATELY, then they're trying to be deceptive somehow.
There's a time and place and a manner in which you tell someone you're taken. I don't feel the need to tell every guy who chats me up my personal business. If interested and single I'll let him know.

Depends on the girl. Most, if they really really like you, wont have any other boyfriend. (Girls dont behave like men after all). But you will get some who will date other guys, keeping their options open so to speak.
