How did you do in your SAT's? At least as good as your friends? Did you apply to exactly the same schools as your friends? if you say yes to both, stop sweating, you will be accepted and the worse case scenario you are wait listed and you can opt to a summer program to get in....no biggie. Chill- it's still really early and by the way, did they apply as early acceptance? because that is a whole different ball game.

You want your mom? Where is she? go see her and maybe she can console you....one more thing, do your friends last names begin with letters of the alphabet like a or c and yours is s, t or w--- you see what I'm saying---they are sent out alphabetically in the bigger schools.

Aw James! What could I say to help you worry less? Because, really, at this point, there's nothing you can do. At least the worst already happened: before you sent the application, (especially with an essay) wondering if you did your best, what you should change... But, it's like after I take a midterm or final... Usually I leave the room exhausted, (I'm always the last one to leave the testing room) frustrated, but hopeful. Sometimes I'm really worried about the results, and I try to piece together what I remember from the test to predict my grade. After awhile, I give up and think: Holy crap- I'm done! I don't need to study anymore. There is NO MORE PRESSURE. And that makes me feel better.

Look, James, just try and forget about your friends- that is, don't compare yourself to them. Don't let anyone put you on the spot or give you crap. Really, good luck man.

Look hon, it's natural to feel anxious about this and it will come in time. So let's focus on good stuff ok? Like how ambitious you are for putting yourself out there. I bet your Mom is very proud of you! Right now you need to take care of yourself, like a warm bubble bath and your favorite hot drink. Some soft soothing music, like Mozart or nature sounds. Relax and enjoy that you've reached this wonderful stepping stone in your life. A yes or no means you will be starting a new journey in life. Either answer is ok because it will lead you to your true destiny. Remember this. All things happen for a reason. And you will play an important part. Peace.

ok you need to take deep breathes. You are definitely overreacting. If you don't relax, panic attacks could be in your near future, so you should see a doctor or find someone to talk to.
Don't freak out so much. The letters will soon come. They can't ignore you altogether. When did you send out the applications? Try not to stress, look at the bright side, be confident in yourself, and you'll get through.
Your acceptance letter is probably being mailed right at this moment! =)

If your friends are true they only want the best for you and won't look down on you no matter what. If you don't get accepted I believe it's because there is something else that you are meant to do. Either way, it will all work out for you. Stay positive and lose the excess baggage your carrying around ( the fear of being disappointed or rejected ) because it's only a waste of your energy. My best wishes go out to you.

I'm sure youare, and if crying helps then go ahead. The schools pick the top 1/3 of the class first...if you are up there , you shold be hearing soon. Are these colleges junor colleges nearby?...do they have waiting lists?...or are they Ivy league types...One thing you ca ntry is to find someone very influential who has known you for a very long time and can vouch for your character and academic abilities and have them write a letter to the college entrance board..
In the meantime...Good luckl!

Don't worry, whatever happens, you will be fine. Remember you are awesome, and whatever school you go to will be lucky to have you, not the other way around. Acceptance is based on flimsy things anyway- SAT and GPA, which are totally not good gauges of real intelligence or drive. Good luck.

Just relax and try not to think so much about it. life is far to short to stress out yet. think of other things and disract yourself with friends and homework. hope this helps

Don't be so worried. Higher education is so overrated anyways. I barely graduated from high school and I make over $100,000 a year. Keep your head up high and just try your best at whatever you do in the future.
