Genesis 12:7, God promises that the land of Israel was to be for Abraham and his descendants. In 1948 Israel was returned back to the Jewish people for the second time in history. This may not seem so astonishing until you realize that no nation in the history of the world has been scattered from its homeland and returned! Israel has done it twice.

May I also just add that the bible comes from the oldest part of our civilized world, why is human civilization only a mere 6000 years old... why? if we ivolved over a period of millions of years? Why is our history so short?

The Bible so far outshines every competing source for being God's revelation that if it is not God's word it would seem impossible to choose between the leftovers?

Actually, what is going on isn't obvious enough to know if it is the end.

Human history is way more than 6000 years old. CIVILIZED culture is about 8000 years old, starting with the Chinese, Greek, and Mesopotamians. Homo sapiens have been around for 10,000 years total. PS, I'm not saying evolution is accurate. Just giving you "facts"

Many think that the end is near because of the "uprise" of gay people. Not true. There have always been gay people (like Richard the Lionheart was gay) but until now, it wasn't acceptable to come out.

Don't worry about the end times. If you believe in God, you will be fine. While you are here, make a different to the world so we can live to our full potential before the end.

In 1948 the Jewish people reclaimed Isreal, was this not because the bible said they should. After the persecution they suffered in Europe their beliefs gave them strength to achieve a homeland once again for themselves.

It amazes me how so many see similarities in what is in the Bible to what is happening and say its proof of God.

Apparently you are not aware that the Old Testament Bible is pre-dated by over a thousand years by the Sumerian religious story, the Epic of Gilgamesh. Many of the stories of Genesis are simply monotheistic variations of the polytheistic stories of faith as found in the Epic of Gilgamesh. What it proves is that keeping a separate identity by maintaining a separate language, diet, and religious tradition can work. It proves that territory is not a good measure of nationality by itself.(although it should be noted that the Jews tended to form their own territories inside other countries and cities, most other nationalities do this too. one thing you must remember about the world and it's leaders is that religion plays a large part in politics. studies have shown that somewhere in the viscinity of 95% of the worlds population believes in a god or higher power of some kind. in america that god is in the form of a christian god, isreal a jewish god, and the same goes for other countries respectively. what happens when you have situations like this is you end up with world leaders reflective of the individuals of those countries, i.e. america has only had christian presidents. and much of their policy in turn reflects their belief system, i.e. george bush claiming god told him to go to war. so it also stands to reason that a country like america, who's military influence is far greater than that of the rest of the world's, is going to have more say in what gets done as far as international policy is concerned.
as far as matthew 24 goes, these are things that have been going on since the days of the bible being written. it wasn't a prediction about things to come, it was literally happening when the bible was written. and those that were writing it believed they were living in end times.
that's just my theory anyway and i could be wrong...

Look it up! These are all the same Arab descendants that are CONFEDERATE against Israel today. This has never happened in history and its happing BIG TIME right now!

No it doesn't. The power of suggestion is very strong. If the Old Testament had been lost and all this happened, then the Old Testament was found after the fact, then that would be impressive. However, that is not what happened. These are people who have an intimate knowledge of the Old Testament prophesies and have worked towards fulfillment. If I prophesy something and tell you, and you go out and do it, was it really prophesy fulfillment or was it the power of suggestion and your motivation to fulfill that suggestion?

As far as the prophesies of gloom and doom of the last days, I don't see anything happening that hasn't been happening throughout history.
