...but what would happen to the future of Catholicism, since nuns and priests are not supposed to marry?

Why does piety in Catholicism prevent one from enjoying life fully?

What would happen if the entire world became pious Catholics? Then no one would get married and procreate??

The "calling" is different for everyone, and doesn't necessarily mean a call to religious life. Each of us is born with different gifts and talents, and we are called to develop the gifts that God has given us, whether it be the married life, religious, or even living single. Some people may be good organizers, others good leaders, and someone else a good teacher. We should each try to find out what are those natural gifts that God gave us so that we can cultivate them and use them for our happiness and the greater glory of God.

God bless.

Not everyone is called to be a priest or a nun. Some are called to be married. Just like some are called to teach, some are called to be doctors, some are called to be farmers. If everyone became doctors, who would teach, who would grow our food? Priests do not marry because they devote their lives to God and to the service of the Church. 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 tells us that married men are divided, pleasing their wife and pleasing God. Matthew 19:12 states that some people renounce marriage for the sake of the kindom of heaven. It says that whoever can accept this ought to accept it. Priests and nuns accept that they renounce marriage for the sake of the kingdom.

How is dedicating oneself to the Lord not living life fully? Marriage and sex are not for all people.

What a load of nonsense!

The Catholic Church has always encouraged a wide range of vocations.

The ones you mention are simply very special ones, to which very few are called.

Please ask someone to slap you for me.
